Getting Started with AI Chat

The DocGen AI assistant provides an intuitive chat interface where you can request information using natural language. No need to learn complex query syntax!

Example Queries You Can Ask:

• "Show items assigned to me"
• "Show items in current sprint"
• "Show current sprint report"
• "Show items assigned to John"
• "Generate documentation for Item ID 12345"

Simply type your request in the input box and the AI will:

1. Understand your intent
2. Fetch the relevant work items
3. Generate a formatted document
4. Provide export options (PDF/Word)

Gap Analysis Feature

Perform comprehensive gap analysis by comparing your work items against reference documents:

1. Click on "Perform Gap Analysis" from the quick action cards
2. Upload reference documents (requirements, specifications, etc.)
3. Optionally provide specific instructions
4. The AI will analyze your work items and identify:
   • Missing requirements
   • Coverage gaps
   • Alignment issues
   • Recommendations for improvement

Quick Action Cards

When you launch DocGen AI, you'll see pre-configured quick action cards for common tasks:

• Show Items Assigned To Me - View your current assignments
• Perform Gap Analysis - Upload documents for comparison
• Show Current Sprint Report - Generate sprint documentation
• Show Items In Current Sprint - List all sprint work items

Click any card to instantly execute that action.

Exporting Documents

Once the AI generates your document preview, you can export it in two formats:

PDF Export

• Professional formatting with table of contents
• Includes work item images and attachments
• Perfect for presentations and formal documentation

Word Export (DOCX)

• Editable document format
• Maintains formatting and structure
• Ideal for further customization

Documents will be downloaded directly to your browser's download folder.

Traditional Export Methods

From a WorkItem Menu

You can still export individual work items directly:

1. Open any work item
2. Click the menu (...)
3. Select "Export Document"
4. Choose PDF or DOCX format
5. Select options for child items and comments

From Queries

Export work items based on saved queries:

1. Navigate to Boards → Business Requirements (or DocGen - AI)
2. Select a query from the dropdown
3. Choose export options
4. Click PDF or DOCX to generate
