Microsoft Analysis Services Projects 2022+

Package includes support for Tabular and Multidimensional projects. After creating a new model project by using one of the templates, you can begin model authoring by using the designer tools and wizards included in the chosen project type. Among other things, you can import existing models from a server or start a new, blank model project.

Analysis Services modeling projects integrate with source control. If you have configured Visual Studio to use source control, you can use check in/check out from Solution Explorer.

Known Issues:-

1. In the context menu (right mouse button) on objects in the project (e.g. the solution, a package) in Visual Studio, many of the entries appear many times. This happens only when Microsoft Analysis Services Projects 2022 is installed together.
2. While adding roles in a tabular project, the 'Search' function in 'Select a User or Group' dialog box does not work.

Workaround for Select a User or Group dialog box issue:-

• Users or Groups can be added via 'Manual Entry' option
