Manage Application Pools

With 'Manage Application Pools' it is possible to manage IIS application pools throughout VSTS/TFS. Connections to the IIS servers is being made with WinRM (HTTP 5985 or HTTPS 5986).

Version 1* contains the following functions

  • Connect with remote server using WinRM

    • Server(s): Connect to one or several servers. Servernames need to be comma devided.
    • Username / password: Provide a username and password with the permissions to connect to the server and manage IIS.
  • Application pool management options

    • Stop application pools.
    • Start application pools.
    • Restart application pools.
    • Remove application pools.
    • Generate a warning and continue, or stop if an application pool is not found.

Note! Removing an application pool also removes all websites that are associated with the application pool.

Handling multiple application pools per server is supported. The names need to be comma devided. (appPool1,appPool2)
