Restricted state transitions

When an unwanted state transition is attempted an error message will be displayed at the top of the work item form and the Save button will be disabled.



This extension only restricts state transitions in the work item form (most common scenario). Transitions in boards and state edit option within lists will still be possible.

Configuration

This extension gives you the possibility to configure different state machines for each project you have within your organization. Please go to Project settings, scroll down to Extensions and then select State Transitions as the below image demonstrates.
