Charts to show duration for States & Columns
This extension is now unpublished from Marketplace. You can choose to uninstall it.

This extension provides charts for durations of different states and columns for both Kanban and Scrum teams. It only works for on-prem TFS 2017 and above with Agile template.

These widgets pull data from a query. Please setup the query under "Shared Queries" to define the data set

Average Column Duration for Each Iteration (Scrum)

In addition to out-of-box CFD chart showing the counts for each column in a purticular Sprint, this chart provides an advanced view for column durations for multiple iterations. The team can use this chart to understand the trend and constraints of the delivery effort.

Cycle Time (Kanban)

The Cycle time widget will help you analyze the time it takes for your team to complete work items once they begin actively working on them. A lower cycle time is typically indicative of a healthier team process. Using the Cycle time widget you will be able to answer questions like, on average, how long does it take my team to build a feature or fix a bug?

Both Lead Time and Cycle Time widgets display as scatter-plot control charts. They display summary information as well as provide several interactive elements.

The chart dots represent completed work items where their position on the horizontal axis represents the date they were completed. Their position on the vertical axis represents the calculated lead time or cycle time.

Lead Time (Kanban)

The Lead time widget will help you analyze the time it takes to deliver work from your backlog. Lead time measures the total time elapsed from the creation of work items to their completion. Using the Lead time widget you will be able to answer questions like:

  • How long does it take for work requested by a customer to be delivered?
  • Did work items take longer than usual to complete?

Both Lead Time and Cycle Time widgets display as scatter-plot control charts. They display summary information as well as provide several interactive elements.
