AI Assistant for Azure DevOps Backlogs (Early Preview)
Overview
Team Assistant adds an AI-powered tool panel inside Azure DevOps backlog views to help:
- Summarize large backlog items
- Draft or refine user stories (future)
- Generate acceptance criteria templates (future)
- Extract insights from work item metadata (future)
Current build only registers a backlog tool pane and displays a placeholder panel.
Status
This is an experimental preview. Features beyond basic panel hosting are not yet implemented.
Getting Started
- Install the extension into your Azure DevOps organization.
- Open any Backlog (Portfolio / Requirement / Iteration).
- Open the Tool Pane and select "MH-Toolpane extension".
- A placeholder view renders confirming successful load.

Privacy & Data
No external AI calls are made in this preview build. Future versions will clearly document data flow and offer opt-in controls.
