For Claude Code in Visual Studio.

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that gives Claude live access to a running Visual Studio instance. Edits route through VS's editor with margin indicators and undo support, builds run against VS's MSBuild, and project/debug state comes straight from EnvDTE.

Targets the workflow: have VS open with your solution, have Claude Code running, let Claude edit and validate with the IDE doing the heavy lifting.

Free for 14 days, with every feature. No sign-up and no card: install it and go.

After that, a licence is a one-off payment of £5 per developer:

• Pay once, keep it. No subscription, and every future version is included.
• Two computers per developer, for example a desktop and a laptop.
• Teams buy together. Choose the number of seats and get one key to share, plus a page showing which computers use it, where you can free a seat when someone leaves.
• 30-day refund, for any reason.

Payment is handled by Stripe, which is the seller of record and deals with VAT and sales tax. Your key arrives by email straight after purchase. Paste it in the Wheelhouse panel's settings (the gear button), under Licence.

When the trial ends without a licence, the Wheelhouse panel and its fast in-process tools stop. Claude Code in a terminal keeps working with Wheelhouse's MCP server, using its slower PowerShell tools.

Wheelhouse checks its trial or licence with wheelhouse.mountainstar.co.uk when Visual Studio starts and every few hours. A licensed computer keeps working for 30 days without a connection. See the privacy policy for exactly what the check sends.

A Wheelhouse licence doesn't include Claude Code: you need your own Claude subscription or Anthropic API account.
