ComponentOne Data Wizard is a Visual Studio extension that helps .NET developers connect to data sources, visually build custom data views, and generate application models without writing repetitive data-access code. The Beta version is designed for modern .NET and WinForms development.

How to Get Started

ComponentOne Data Wizard helps you connect to data and build applications faster:

1. Connect to your database, file, or service.
2. Create a data view by selecting and filtering the data you need.
3. Bind the view to a WinForms control and start building your application.

What's New

The Beta preview supports two popular .NET data access approaches: ADO .NET with DataTables and Entity Framework with Scaffolding.

Supported data sources include: SQL Server, SQLite, PostgreSQL, OData*, JSON*, CSV* files.

*Uses ComponentOne DataConnectors.

Current Beta Limitations:

• Generates C# code only
• Supports the WinForms Designer only
• Limited to one connection per project
• The UI data binding supports DataGridView and ComponentOne FlexGrid

As a preview release, functionality and supported data sources will continue to expand based on customer feedback and future development plans.
