Clearly Editable

A Visual Studio 2022 extension to change the editor's background color to show which documents can't or shouldn't be edited.

In the above, the left-most editor window is a generated file, the middle editor window is a read-only document, and the editor on the right is for a regular, editable file.

You chose which file types can have their background colors changed and what those colors are.

This extension is the work of a solo developer and is made available for free.
In return, it collects basic anonymous analytics about the use of the extension.
It may also include a message in the output window asking you to support the ongoing development and maintenance of this and other extensions by becoming a sponsor.

A version is also available for VS2019.
