Team Foundation Server

Kovair integrates with TFS as SCM tool as well as an ALM Repository where TFS requirements, bugs and test cases can be exposed to other tools through Omnibus Integration Platform. Kovair TFS Integration Adapter enables one to integrate TFS with a wide array of tools like JIRA, HP QC and Jama. When integrated through Kovair Omnibus, TFS events like check-in and check-out are propagated to other tools. It allows users to access specific versions or latest version of code snippets in TFS from other development tools. Kovair also has migration support between HP QC, TFS and MTM.

Visual Studio Online (VSO)

The integration of VSO (formerly known as Team Foundation Service) with Kovair Omnibus allows bi-directional flow of VSO work items between a wide variety of on-premise and cloud tools such as the TFS 2013 on-premise, HP ALM, or Rally. This integration facilitates data collaboration among various tools, thus providing a centralized view of the Unified Software Development processes in the cloud.

Visual Studio 2013

Kovair VSTS Plug-in integrates Visual Studio 2013 with other ALM tools to provide an integrated view of the unified software development. It allows developers to view/edit their work items in their IDE that may include work items from other repositories such as TFS, JIRA, IBM RRC and Bugzilla.

Thus, various models designed by the architects; code written by the developers; code reviews and static analysis done by the reviewers; unit testing done by the developers, can all be synchronized with other ALM tools that are connected through Omnibus Integration Platform.

SharePoint

Kovair SharePoint Integration facilitates simplification of document management and collaboration among team members and allows documents to be linked to other artifacts in the ALM system such as Requirements, Test Cases, and Defects. The adapter is designed to allow tracking and processing of a variety of artifacts being stored and shared in SharePoint, thereby facilitating a greater collaboration and enabling better visibility of artifacts maintained in SharePoint. It exposes Documents, Lists (custom defined), Contacts, Announcements, Tasks and Issues as entities from SharePoint, and enables them to be actively tracked and managed in the Kovair application.

Project 2013

Kovair Omnibus Plug-in and Adapter for MS Project 2013 allow users to bi-directionally synchronize Tasks and associated Resources from MS Project to other connected tools in the ALM scenario. Both Server based and standalone Projects are supported by this integration. This gives the capability to import tasks from other systems and perform scheduling, resource leveling in MS Project and synchronize them back to the other tools. 

Outlook

Kovair Outlook Adapter integrates MS Outlook with other ALM tools, which enables geographically distributed team members to add requirements, defects, and Tasks to respective ALM tools directly from Outlook. Users no longer need to log in to the other ALM tools to add artifacts to the systems. Once the Outlook adapter and plug-ins are installed and configured, any Outlook emails can be directly mapped to the ALM tools. This saves time; improves team collaboration; reduces errors during application development and makes it easy for users to send their inputs and comments by email.

Word Add-on

Typically Requirements exist in Microsoft Word document. Kovair’s Word Import Add-on helps in extracting the requirements from the documents and import to Kovair automatically. From within Word, a wizard based user interface guides the users in defining different strategies, even multiple strategies in the same document. While importing, the rich text of each item is preserved and Kovair’s rich text editor allows these rich text items to be viewed and edited.
