Gantt ChartThank You for installing Kalilo Product Management TFS Extenision. The Gantt Chart is the only feature currently implemented with plans to implement new features related to Product Management. To modify the work items displayed in the Gantt chart edit the query at "Shared Queries/Kalilo/ProductManagement". The query must be a flat query. Currently only Finish to Start dependecy is displayed on the Gantt chart by using the successor and predecessor links types. Please leave feedback if there are any features you would like. Getting Started This extenision adds a new Gantt Chart Hub under the Work Tab. Currently the Gantt Chart only works with Epics and Features. If your project does not have any Epics or Features you will see a screen without a Gantt Chart As part of the intallation of this extension a Shared Query is created called ProductManagement in a new Kalilo folder. You can edit what work items are returned to the Gantt Chart by editing this query, but please be careful, the query must remain a flat query and modify this query can result in a broken Gantt chart. Create Epic Epics will display on the root level of the Gantt Chart. Create Feature from Gantt Chart Click the add button next to an epic to add a Feature that will be a child of the Epic. After adding the new Feature hit the Zoom to Fit button to get a better view of the new feature that has been added. The duration of the Epic will update on the Gantt Chart.
Below is a picture of the Feature created from the Gantt chart. The Title, Descript, Target Date, Priorty, and Relation are set. An additional item that is create is a Kalilo.Duration Tag. This tag holds the value of the duration of the Feature. Following the Kalilo.Duration:# format the duration of the Feature can actually be modified here. Create Feature with relationship. To create a Start-To-Finish dependecy between features, use the Successor or Predessor link type and link two features together.
Updating an existing item from the Gantt Chart is currently not supported. |
