Installation

For Organization Administrators

Build the extension:
```
npm install
npm run package
```
Upload to your organization:
- Go to Organization Settings → Extensions
- Click "Shared Extensions"
- Upload the generated .vsix file
- Share with your organization

For Developers

Clone the repository
Install dependencies: npm install
Build: npm run build
Package: tfx extension create

Configuration

Access notification settings through:

Work Items Hub → Notification Settings
Or configure in the settings panel

Available Settings:

Enable/Disable Notifications - Turn notifications on/off
Desktop Notifications - Show system-level notifications
Sound Alerts - Play sound on new assignments
Check Frequency - How often to check (15s - 5min)
Display Duration - How long popups remain visible

Privacy & Security

All data stays within your Azure DevOps organization
No external services are used
Settings are stored locally in browser storage
Uses Azure DevOps authentication

Notifications not appearing?

Check browser notification permissions
Ensure you're signed into Azure DevOps
Verify extension is installed for your organization

Too many/few notifications?

Adjust check frequency in settings
Modify notification duration
