ImageComments (a Visual Studio Extension)

Overview

This is an extension for the Visual Studio code editor that allows images to be displayed amongst code, allowing for visually rich comments.

Download/Installation

To install double-click/activate the VSIX file

How to use

1. In the code you can type comment as html image tag:

// <image url="X:\Path\To\Image.ext" scale="1.5" /> or // <img src="X:\Path\To\Image.ext" scale="1.5" />

2. Paste image in the text editor from clipboard Also you can Paste image from the Clipboard. Copy Image to the clipboard and Press Ctrl-V in the Visual Studio Text Editor. Save image Dialog File will be open. Select folder and type image name.

3. Preview image with a mouse hover.

Uninstallation

In VS, open the Extension Manager, select ImageComments2022, then click uninstall. A restart of VS is required.

Some known issues

• This extension Freeze VS IDE on start rarely.
