Create IGEMS .NET API projects, with APPS and parametric shapes for IGEMS, in one step.

Create a new project > IGEMS API Project gives you a .NET 8 class library that:

• uses the IGEMS installation you pick from a list of the versions installed on your computer,
• references IGEMSAPI.dll and Genamo.dll from that installation, with Copy Local off,
• starts that IGEMS with the debugger attached when you press F5,
• contains a working example APP and an example parametric shape.

Requirements

• Visual Studio 2022 or 2026 with the .NET desktop development workload
• IGEMS installed on the same computer

Getting started

1. Create a new project, search for IGEMS, choose IGEMS API Project, enter a name and press Create.

   

2. Select your IGEMS installation and press OK.

   

3. Press F5. In IGEMS, open the APPS tab > Settings > + and select your DLL (first time only), then press Hello APP.
