Gantt Insights

The Gantt Insights extension creates a Gantt Chart that provides valuable visual insights into the work item timeline, relationships and dependencies for one or multiple projects in one place.

Features

Data selection based on Azure DevOps queries

You can define differnet Azure DevOps queries to select specific datasets to visualise

Cross project queries

Data selection queries can be cross-project and all retreived work items will be grouped under the approproate Project

Visual predecessor/successor relationships

Any work dependencies are visualised with arrows on the chart, this works also for cross-project dependencies

Warning/error indicators

Indicator icons with explanations on hover to higlight any potential problems with sprint setup or work item setup.

Start end dates derrived based on child or parent work item settings or sprints

Not all work items have start and end dates so work item dates are determined based on sprint/parent/child dates to place the work items on the timeline.

Sprint markers for all projects

Sprint markers for all projects to visualise cross-project sprint cadence

Capacity information for each sprint

Capacity is calculated for each sprint across the whole team, totalled up for team members and activity types. Colour indicators to show under/over cappacity. This view can be turned on/off with a toggle
