Overview
SpiraTeam is an integrated Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) system that manages your project's requirements, releases, test cases, issues and tasks in one unified environment:
(Note: This version of the Extension requires Spira v5.0 or later)
SpiraTeam contains all of the features provided by SpiraTest - our highly acclaimed quality assurance system and SpiraPlan - our agile-enabled project management solution. With integrated customizable dashboards of key project information, SpiraTeam allows you to take control of your entire project lifecycle and synchronize the hitherto separate worlds of development and testing.
SpiraTeam provides all this functionality in an easily accessible, highly usable web interface that can be used by managers, testers and developers alike. However, we recognize that developers are already comfortable working in their Visual Studio IDE. To reduce the number of different applications developers need to use, SpiraPlan, SpiraTest and SpiraTeam can be integrated with **Visual Studio 2012 and 2013 **so that developers can implement requirements, complete tasks and fix incidents from within the same environment that they develop the software code.
The extension listed here allows you to work on your assign requirements, tasks and bugs inside Visual Studio. Documentation on this extension can be found at: http://www.inflectra.com/SpiraTeam/Documentation.aspx
Integration Options
SpiraTeam is the most flexible application lifecycle management system on the market today. We know that you already have investments in other systems, so SpiraTeam will maximize your investment in those systems with its open architecture and library of add-ons:
- Automated Testing Tools
SpiraTeam can manage your automated test scripts as well as your manual test cases. Using our RemoteLaunch technology, SpiraTeam can launch test scripts using any automation engine, including QuickTest Pro, TestComplete, Selenium and Squish.
|
- Unit Testing Frameworks
The first stage of ensuring a quality software product is to ensure that the development process makes use of automated, repeatable unit tests. SpiraTeam can integrate with all the major xUnit unit test frameworks to ensure that all features are being adequately covered.
|
- Integrated Development Environments
SpiraTeam is fully integrated into your developers' IDEs, allowing them to view and manage their assigned requirements, tasks and incidents in the same environment that they write code. SpiraTeam has add-ins currently available for Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse (using the Mylyn task-based interface).
|
- Software Configuration Management
SpiraTeam allows you to have a single, unified view of your various source code repositories in an easy-to-use web user interface. In addition you can link commits/check-ins in the SCM tool to artifacts in SpiraTeam to provide code-level traceability of changes. The repositories supported include: Subversion, CVS, VSS and Microsoft Team System.
|
- Requirements Management Systems
SpiraTeam includes a fully-featured requirements management module that allows you to capture and manage your products requirements, features and use-cases. However if you already have a requirements management tool in use, SpiraTeam is able to integrate with the major requirements systems on the market (including RequisitePro and Enterprise Architect).
|
- Other Bug-Tracking Systems
Although SpiraTean comes with a world-class built-in, fully-integrated bug-tracking system, we recognize that you may already have an existing solution. SpiraTeam will integrate with the major bug-tracking systems (including Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, Microsoft Team System, Fogbugz,...) with a data-synchronization system that is completely seamless to the end-user.
