This is a Visual Studio 2013 Start Page that allows you to select a custom image for a background. In addition, you can set an RSS image feed so that you can view a different image every day. This project is based on the Bing Start Page project.

This is a Visual Studio 2013 Start Page that allows you to select a custom image for a background.

It is also possible to use an RSS feed as an image source. By default, the start page is configured to use the daily Bing image feed from Feedburner.

This extension would not have been possible without Adrian Collier's excellent walk through on creating start pages for visual studio:

This project is based on the Custom Start Page Project Template that can be found here:

Once again there seems to be an issue with the default

OOTB settings. The start page is *supposed* to be configured to use the
FeedBurner daily Bing image feed, but it will not work unless the “Use XML
Attribute?” checkbox is checked. If you install the Start Page and see no feed
image, try checking this box, and hopefully that will resolve the
issue.
