DevExpress Template Kit for Visual Studio

You can use this extension in Visual Studio. A version for Visual Studio Code (for Windows and macOS) is available as a separate extension: DevExpress Template Kit for VS Code.

The DevExpress Unified Component Installer includes this Template Kit. You only need to download and install this separate extension if you install DevExpress products using an online NuGet feed.

The new DevExpress Template Gallery includes project templates for .NET 8+ and C# only:

How to Use DevExpress Templates

Once the extension is installed, a new item named “DevExpress Template Kit” will appear in Visual Studio’s New Project wizard.

To ensure that your project can access required DevExpress NuGet packages, run the DevExpress Unified Component Installer or register the online NuGet Feed in your IDE/CLI (if you have not done so yet). For additional information, review the following help articles:

Add Items to Existing Projects

In Visual Studio, right-click on a project in the Solution Explorer window. Select Add | New Item to open the ‘Add New Item’ dialog. Find and select the DevExpress Template Kit to add a DevExpress item based on a template.
