FableCode

Code snippet tool for developers

FableCode allows you to search and upload code snippets without ever leaving the Visual studio IDE. You're able to quickly search through 100's' of snippets both new and old. The extension also goes hand in hand withFableCode website.

Getting started

The FableCode menu options can be found either by right click on a highlighted/selected piece of code or under “Tools” menu option.

There are 3 menu options. Search, Upload andRepository

Search

Allows you to search, filter and view all available snippets. You can also drag and drop a snippet to any text editor i.e notepad

Upload

Use this menu option to upload snippets to your repository. Simply highlight your selected piece of code, then right click the selection,

The snippet field is then automatically set

And finally....

Repository

To view your entire snippet collection.

That's it.

Tips:

• You can drag & drop any snippet onto visual studio or any other text editor.
• After clicking on a snippet. Press Esc to close the window.
