Built on what Azure Boards already holds

• Your levels, in your words. Initiatives, Epics and Features — read by the role each backlog plays, named as your process names them.
• Your organisation, from your area paths. Value streams, ARTs and teams are offered from the area tree, so setup confirms what Azure Boards already records rather than asking for it again.
• Your cadence, from your iterations. The sprint calendar is suggested from your iteration dates.
• Your velocity, as Azure DevOps counts it. Measured from each team's closed sprints, with bugs counted where the team manages bugs as requirements — or stated by hand.

Your data stays in Azure DevOps

Capasight runs in your browser inside Azure DevOps. It reads work items as you, with your own permissions, so nobody sees work their area permissions hide. What it builds is kept for you in this extension's storage in your organisation, and its configuration in your project's properties. Nothing is sent anywhere else, and nothing is written to your work items. Uninstalling does not delete what Capasight stored — Azure DevOps keeps an extension's storage — so Configuration › Remove what Capasight stored deletes it: anyone their own snapshot, a Project Administrator the project's configuration and saved views.

Get started

1. Install Capasight into your organisation.
2. Open Boards › Capasight in a project. The first visit reads the project and shows what it found.
3. A Project Administrator confirms the levels and fields; a planner confirms ARTs, velocities, t-shirt sizes and the sprint cadence.

Every organisation gets a 30-day free trial from the day it first uses Capasight — nothing to enter, and nothing to pay. After it, Capasight is free for up to 10 users (order a free licence key), and beyond that it is priced by the number of users in your organisation, per year, in GBP, EUR or USD, ordered on Capasight's order form and invoiced by Capasight (Microsoft does not bill for Azure DevOps extensions). Prices exclude VAT; UK customers pay 20% VAT on top:
