SSIS Send Mail Task Plus components - Cozyroc SSIS suite

Introducing the COZYROC SSIS+ library with support for sending e-mails. Send Mail Task Plus is a third-party plug-in for Microsoft SSIS. This Task may be used in the Control Flow design of your SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages to send e-mails, encrypt e-mails and sign e-mails. It can also send attachments on e-mails, whether they are encrypted or not. The security standard supported by the Task is Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME).

The COZYROC SSIS+ toolkit is easy to use and follows the same guidelines and principles used by the standard out-of-the-box SSIS tasks and components. In addition, COZYROC provides short and informative demonstration videos, providing step-by-step instructions on how to get started.

Our task is similar to the standard Send Mail Task that comes with SSIS, but includes significant enhancements over the standard task:

• The standard Send Mail Task can only send plain text e-mails, whereas COZYROC’s Send Mail Task Plus can send html e-mails.
• The standard task does not support encryption, but COZYROC’s Send Mail Task Plus can encrypt and securely sign e-mails using the Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME) standard.
• The standard task can only use an SMTP Connection Manager with very limited configurability, whereas COZYROC’s Send Mail Task Plus can use an SMTP Connection Manager or an Exchange Connection Manager with significantly more configurability.

The task can be used to create a new e-mail or send an existing e-mail. For new e-mails, all header information can be configured. Some header information such as “Subject”, “To”, “From”, “CC” and “BCC” are supported by parameters. Other header information can be configured using the “Headers” parameters.

The task supports three priority levels: low, normal, and high.

Many of the parameters used to configure the task can be specified as variables, thus allowing for modifications at runtime.

Send Mail Task Plus and the SMTP Connection Manager have been available since 2010. The Exchange Connection Manager has been available since 2012.
