SSIS Data Flow Task Plus - Cozyroc SSIS Components Suite

Introducing the COZYROC SSIS+ library with the powerful and elegant SSIS Data Flow Task Plus. Available since 2008, Data Flow Task Plus is an SSIS Control Flow task that plugs into Microsoft SSIS and is not found in any other competitive product on the market.

The standard Data Flow Task can only use static metadata which is defined when the package is initially designed.

The mapping of columns is configured and remains unchanged until the package is re-opened and design changes are made. If a new column is added or an existing column is modified, the existing package must be opened and modified, thus costing maintenance time and effort.

SSIS Data Flow Task Plus extends the capabilities of the standard Microsoft Data Flow task in that it allows you to set up Dynamic data flows, thus eliminating maintenance time and effort* Changes to tables and columns are automatically incorporated at runtime without the need to change and redeploy the package. Columns and fields are mapped automatically at runtime.

Furthermore, the initial design time and effort may be greatly reduced when dealing with huge amounts of data in a large number of files and/or databases.

If column/field names match exactly, the mapping requires no configuration. If the column/field names do not match, the task provides the ability to use tables, variables and expressions to configure the relationships between field names and their corresponding columns.

There is no need to have a one-to-one relationship between source and destination entities.

Any standard SSIS transformations may be used inside Data Flow Task Plus. The sources and destinations may consist of any applications, services or databases supported by SSIS or COZYROC’s ever-expanding SSIS+ toolkit.

Data Flow Task Plus has many features that save time and minimize mistakes. These features include the following:

• Dynamically maps columns between the source and the destination at runtime
• Provides dynamic setup options which can be controlled by parameters from outside
• Changes to the Metadata are accommodated at runtime
• Provides the ability to export the data flow logic for use in multiple packages
• Provides a customizable user interface for setting up your data flow

The ability to export your data flow logic allows you to keep your SSIS data flow logic separate from your package, thus allowing you to keep track of the changes independently in your source control system.

The customizable user interface is implemented with an SSIS script, which is part of the data flow task.
