Productivity tool for CRM developers

This extension allows CRM developers to quickly deploy web resources, ribbon diff, assemblies and Adxstudio/CRM Portal artefacts (JavaScript, CSS and Liquid only) to CRM. Also included are keyboard shortcuts to quickly attach to IIS, Async Service and Sandbox Worker.

Quick overview

CRM connection string is specified as a property of the solution in Visual Studio.

Supports OnPrem and Online.

Tight integration with CRM Developer Toolkit project for web resource deployment.

Option to auto deploy on save for Portal artefacts.

Keyboard shortcuts:

  • Alt + Q, F: Deploy web resource, ribbon diff or Portal artefact in current code editor to CRM

  • Alt + Q, J: Deploy assembly in current code editor to CRM Database

  • Alt + Q, K: Deploy assemblies in current code editor to Bin Folder

  • Alt + Q, L: Deploy assemblies in current code editor to GAC

  • Alt + Q, A: Attach to Async Service

  • Alt + Q, I: Attach to IIS

  • Alt + Q, S: Attach to Sandbox Worker

The extension does not deal with assembly or plugin step registration in CRM.

Notes

To debug Sandbox plugins, a Registry change is required to disable the shutdown of the Sandbox Worker process as detailed here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg328574.aspx#bkmk_sandboxplugin.

Most of the commands in this extension require you to run Visual Studio under an account with local administrator permissions.
