Whilst Azure Devops provides a standard 28 day backup for your data, most organizations need more. There are a variety of reasons for this:

  • Human error: Delete a repo? Well its not gone for 28 days, but its a long turnaround to recovery. We all make mistakes. Why not protect yourself against those.
  • Regulations: Most financial institutions are governed by Financial Industry Regulatory Authority require that an off-site backup is kept. The same for financial and super companies in Australia
  • Malicious Intent: Discovering that you've lost that work item, project or worse still, that repository more than 28 days after the event means its gone forever. It only takes one unhappy employee or contractor...
  • Ransomware: Code repositories are now the core intellectual property that powers competitive advantage and the business itself. Ransomware attacks increased 41% in 2019 with 205,000 businesses who lost access to their files.
  • Hard to restore: Typically reaching out to support may be at least 2 days to recover. With Backrightup, its instantaneous!
