Azure Boards app for Slack

Collaboration is one of the most critical tenets of modern day software development. Developers today rely on communication platforms like Slack extensively to get work done. Often, Slack is the place where ideas are discussed, insights are generated and product defects are identified. The same discussions then can continue in Azure Boards where development teams actually plan and manage their work.

Things you can do with the app

Azure Boards app for Slack helps you to do following things from your Slack channel:

  • Create work items using slash command
  • Convert a conversation in the channel into work item using message actions
  • Get notified whenever work items are created, updated, commented on, deleted or restored
  • Use filters to customize what you hear in the channel
  • Use work item URLs to get preview of work items. This will help to add context to the conversations in the channel
