CodeLink makes it easy to share your current code location with peers. Ever have a conversation with another developer and want them to look at the file you're working on? Sure, you could screen share, but that's pretty darn limiting. CodeLink solves this problem.
Here's how it works:
Navigate to the line of code to which you want to link.
Under Tools, select Create CodeLink to Clipboard...
Send that CodeLink to your friend, post it on your GitHub repo, or wherever.
The other developer(s) go to Tools, then Open CodeLink..., paste in your CodeLink, and are brought to that exact file and line number.
CodeLink Uses
Quickly get your dev team members looking at the exact file + line number you are. No guessing.
Share CodeLinks on your Git repo with specific code samples, code issues, and so forth.
Share CodeLinks with students to highlight specific lines of code.
