Smart Test Plan License Manager extension helps the team to manage the Basic + Test Plan license for their organisation and reduce their cost by atleast 70%. Overview of the functionalityThis extension basically help the organisation from allocating the B+TP license on demand instead allocating the license for full time to the QA. The extension includes 3 parts endpoints: First part is at Organization Level: • Admins manage the list of users who need the Test Plan license. • At Personal Access Token Settings you need to provide the PAT of collection admin who has access to upgrade the license.
A new “Test Plan License” tab is added under the Test Plans section, allowing users to request or update their license in real time.
When a user who is part the added list access the Test Plan License Tab, the extension evaluates his license and shows up. If its Basic, the user can click on "Request Test Plan License" and upgrade the license. The third part would be an automation script which you find here: Smart Access Github This would be used to downgrade the license on a daily basis using scheduled run.
