Note: this VSIX is only for VS2015 Update 2. Our current recommendation is to install Update 3 with KB3165756 and uninstall this VSIX if you already have it. Update 3 supports the new EE by default.
Since the major debugger engine overhaul in Visual Studio 2012, the debugging experience for C++/CLI has lagged behind that of either native or managed C# debugging, and lacked the ability to properly visualize native data structures in the code. For Visual Studio 2015 Update 2, we have rewritten the C++/CLI expression evaluator so that it now supports all of the new debugger features added since VS2012, including the Natvis debugger visualization framework with in-box support for the STL containers.
