This is a personal extension where I will try to start a habit of putting up comments how-tos, ideas and things I have learn so that where-ever I am, I can reference notes that I have been making. In the future people might see this, so to you potential partner/employer/Judge/wife/displeased onlooker, try not hate my shortcomings laid bare to much. Essentially as it stands, its a place where you will find a bunch of snippets. After installing the extension, you want to add the snippet you find interesting. Then whenever you need to do something but don't know how, you would type htc[character] (it stands for how to code) and if we have done it before, it will be put before you for you to review. Ideally, in future versions we might learn how to have it that a tool tip can show itself when we hover over a class or object or even command so that I can see my own personal notes of what I found out about it. This also acts as an archive of code, as previously stated. The snippets for these will be more haphazardly named so that they are easy to type and also remember. But the goal here is to put things I properly already understand, but of course that is a relative concept. The ultimate goal of this is to coalesce all my findings over the years into something concrete and easy to expand on. Not necessarily to teach others, but definitely to teach myself. I believe if such a state is achieved then the skills acquired can be easily translated into other domains and can work as a platform for many solutions and networks I will develop throughout my career |
