This extension allows you to set a background image for the WPF text editor. The default line highlighter in Visual Studio 2012 will overlap the wallpaper. This can look bad. You can turn off the line highlighter in Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> General -> Highlight Current Line This extension is free. A picture of the options page and examples are below.
