Commit State Description Validator

Commit State Description Validator is an Azure DevOps extension for Azure Boards that enforces required sections in the Description field before a work item can move to Committed.

What it validates

When a user changes a work item state to Committed, the extension checks that these sections exist and contain values:

• Product Metrics
• Goal
• Persona

• User Flow
• UI Design
• Content

Each section must follow the format:

Section Name: value

Why use it

• Prevents incomplete requirement details from entering committed work
