AT&T Application Resource Optimizer Data Collector - 64-bit

AT&T Application Resource Optimizer (ARO) analyzes the performance of your mobile applications. It can help your app run faster and smarter by providing recommendations to help optimize your mobile application's performance, speed, network impact, and battery utilization.

AT&T ARO gathers trace data from an application using the ARO Data Collector and provides detailed analysis of the application in the ARO Data Analyzer.

The AT&T ARO Data Collector (64-bit) is a special version of the ARO Data Collector made specifically for collecting trace data from an application running on a 64-bit Windows 8 desktop or notebook. When the trace files captured by this tool are opened in the AT&T ARO Data Analyzer, test results, diagnostics, and statistics are provided that can be used to optimize the performance of the application.

To use the AT&T ARO Data Collector (64-bit), load the following prerequisites and follow these steps for collecting a trace.

Prerequisites:

• A Windows 8 notebook, desktop, or x86 based tablet.
• Windows Network Monitor (Netmon) installed (version 3.4 is available here).
• AT&T ARO Data Collector (64-bit) installed. (The 32-bit version is availablehere).

Collecting a trace:

1. Launch the AT&T ARO Data Collector (64-bit).
2. Run the application that you want to trace, and test it’s features.
3. Stop the AT&T ARO Data Collector when your test is completed.

When you have finished collecting your trace, go to http://developer.att.com/ARO to find out how to download the AT&T ARO Data Analyzer and analyze your trace.
