VibeGo lets you open your full desktop VS Code from your iPhone or iPad – editor, terminal, keyboard shortcuts, and all.
This extension runs on your desktop and gives the VibeGo iOS app a secure tunnel into your existing setup.
Real VS Code on mobile – you’re talking to your own VS Code, not a cut‑down editor.
Keep your setup – all your existing extensions, themes, and AI agents (Copilot, Codeium, etc.) just work.
Comfortable mobile coding – terminal + editor layouts tuned for a small screen, quick layout switches, arrow keys, Tab, Esc, and more.
Voice dictation for the terminal/editor – send commands or code by speaking, then refine with the keyboard.
Test localhost from your phone – map local ports through the tunnel so you can hit localhost HTTP endpoints from iOS.
What this extension does
Adds a VibeGo control panel inside VS Code (command: VibeGo: Show VibeGo UI).
Lets you sign in with Google and pair your desktop with the VibeGo iOS app using 8‑digit codes.
Creates secure Cloudflare tunnels from your desktop to the internet:
Free tunnels for short‑lived, ad‑hoc sessions.
Premium persistent tunnels with stable URLs for webhooks, demos, and long‑running work.
Lets you expose local HTTP services (via Expose Port commands) so the mobile app can reach localhost servers.
You’ll need the VibeGo iOS app to actually connect from your phone. Download / waitlist links are at https://www.vibego.me.
Quickstart
Install the VibeGo extension from the VS Code Marketplace.
Click the VibeGo toolbar icon or run VibeGo: Show VibeGo UI from the Command Palette.
Sign in with Google when prompted to link your account.
Start a Free or Premium tunnel from the control panel and note the tunnel URL and pairing code.
On your iPhone/iPad, open the VibeGo app, sign in with the same Google account, and enter the pairing code.
You’re connected – open the mobile layouts, use the command palette, dictation, and your usual extensions and AI agents from anywhere.
Billing & Licensing
The VibeGo VS Code extension is free to install from the Marketplace.
It connects to the VibeGo cloud service for tunnel management and pairing.
Premium features (such as persistent tunnels and higher limits) require a separate subscription billed outside the VS Code Marketplace (Stripe / Apple).
The extension may open your browser to vibego.me so you can manage your account; no payments are processed inside VS Code.
Data & Security
The extension talks to the VibeGo backend only to:
Sign you in (Google OAuth + Firebase).
Manage pairing codes, session tokens, and tunnel provisioning.
Check entitlement and usage limits.
VibeGo uses Cloudflare tunnels and only exposes the ports you explicitly configure; you remain in control of what runs behind each tunnel.
Tunnels start and stop only in response to your commands; the extension does not silently open tunnels in the background.
The extension does not use the VS Code telemetry API or send usage data to Microsoft. Operational logs go only to the VibeGo backend; see the Privacy Policy for details.
